GLASGOW, Ky. — Barren County has a new soundtrack. Commonwealth Broadcasting officially launched Zing 106.7 FM this week, bringing Top 40 and pop hits to Glasgow and the surrounding region.
The station went live on Tuesday, April 1, filling a gap in the local radio market for contemporary hit radio.
Completing the Lineup
Zing 106.7 rounds out Commonwealth Broadcasting’s portfolio of stations serving South Central Kentucky. The company now offers:
- New country
- Classic country
- Classic hits
- Top 40/Pop (Zing 106.7)
Christmas Parade Broadcast
The new station has already secured a signature community event. Zing 106.7 will be the radio home for the Glasgow Christmas Parade — one of the region’s most popular annual traditions.
“The Christmas parade broadcast is always one of our perennial highlights,” said Commonwealth General Manager Chris Houchens. “The Glasgow Christmas Parade is a unique Kentucky event for sure, and we always enjoy having it on the radio.”
Houchens added that the station will feature additional Christmas programming during the holiday season.
Tune In
Listeners can find Zing 106.7 FM on the dial now. The station targets a younger demographic with current pop hits and today’s biggest artists.
For Barren County residents who’ve been driving to Bowling Green or streaming for their pop music fix, relief has arrived — and it’s local.
