The Booth — Privacy Policy

The Booth — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026 · Applies to The Booth on web and Facebook Instant Games

THE SHORT VERSION

You do not need a Facebook account, a real name, or a credit card to play The Booth. You pick an MC name and a 4-digit PIN. That’s it.

We do not run ad trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics inside the game. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

You can have your profile and any data attached to it deleted by sending one email. Instructions are at the bottom of this page.

Who Operates The Booth

The Booth is a hip-hop trivia game operated by TEG Digital LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States. The game is playable on the web at teg-report.com/booth-game/ and as a Facebook Instant Game inside the Facebook app. This policy covers both. When you play inside Facebook, Meta also handles data according to its own policies, which we do not control.

For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact tegan5g@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 7 business days and will not take longer than 30 days.

What We Collect

We collect only what the game needs in order to save your progress. Specifically:

Your MC name. A display name of up to 24 characters that you choose yourself. You are not required to use your real name, and we recommend that you do not. This name appears publicly on the leaderboard.

Your 4-digit PIN. Used solely to reload your own profile on a later visit. It is not linked to any payment method, and it is not a password for any other service. Please read the Security section below before choosing one.

Your gameplay data. Scores, stars earned, correct-answer counts, best streak, total plays, perfect games, max combo, daily streak, badges unlocked, shop items purchased with in-game stars, and which items you have equipped. Game mode and letter grade are recorded with each round you finish.

Your email address — only if you choose to give it. The game offers an optional field where you may submit an email along with your score. This is entirely voluntary. Skipping it does not limit gameplay in any way. If you submit it, we store the email, your MC name, and that score.

Standard technical information. Like nearly all websites, our hosting and database providers automatically log connection data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

What We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, The Booth does not collect or request: your real name, your mailing address, your phone number, your date of birth, your precise location, any payment card or bank information, or any biometric data. In-game purchases are made with stars earned by playing and involve no real currency.

The game does not use Facebook Login and does not request access to your Facebook profile, friend list, photos, posts, or any other Meta account data. The one exception, described under Service Providers below, is that the Facebook Instant Games version reports your end-of-round score to Facebook. The game does not embed the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or any other advertising or behavioral-tracking script. It sets no advertising cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage.

What Is Public

The Booth has a public leaderboard. If you register a profile, the following becomes visible to other players: your MC name, your star total, your best streak, your total number of plays, your badges, and your equipped items. Your PIN and your email address are never displayed on the leaderboard.

If you would prefer not to appear publicly, choose an MC name that does not identify you, or request deletion using the instructions below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the data above to save and restore your profile between sessions, calculate scores and rank the leaderboard, award badges and process in-game star purchases, and to keep the game working and free of abuse. If you voluntarily provided your email, we may use it to contact you about The Booth or send occasional updates from TEG Digital LLC. Every such message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your ability to play.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Service Providers

We share data only with vendors that help us operate the game, and only to the extent needed:

Supabase hosts the database that stores player profiles, scores, and emails. Data is stored on servers in the United States.

Hostinger provides web hosting for teg-report.com and tegreporthq.com, where the game is served.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces used in the game. Requesting a font from Google necessarily reveals your IP address to Google.

Meta Platforms. If you play the web version, Meta receives information only when you choose to tap a share button, and only the link being shared. If you play the Facebook Instant Games version, two additional things happen. First, Meta necessarily sees that you opened and played the game, in the same way it sees any activity inside its app. Second, at the end of each round we send Meta your numeric score for that session, which Facebook uses to rank and surface the game to other players. We do not send Meta your MC name, your email address, your PIN, or your saved profile. We also do not receive your Facebook name, profile picture, friend list, or Facebook user ID — The Booth is built on Meta’s Zero Permissions model, under which those APIs are unavailable to us by design.

We may also disclose information if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or of TEG Digital LLC.

Security

Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Access to the administrative database is restricted to authorized personnel.

We want to be straightforward with you rather than make promises we cannot keep: the 4-digit PIN is a lightweight convenience feature for reloading your progress, not a strong security credential. Do not reuse a PIN that you use for your bank, your phone, or any other account. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify affected players and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Children

The Booth is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 13, please do not submit an email address. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, email tegan5g@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

How Long We Keep Data

Player profiles and score history are retained while your profile is active, and are deleted on request. Optional email submissions are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Automated server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes and then rotated out.

Your Rights and How to Delete Your Data

You may ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We honor these requests regardless of your location, and we will never charge you or deny you service for making one.

DATA DELETION REQUEST

Email tegan5g@gmail.com with the subject line “Booth Data Deletion Request” and include your MC name.

We will permanently delete your player profile, your score history, your badges and purchases, and any email address you submitted. You will receive written confirmation once it is done. Requests are completed within 30 days and usually much sooner.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how The Booth handles your data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the game itself.

This policy covers The Booth trivia game specifically. For the rest of the site, see the TEG Digital LLC site-wide Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. Ready to play? Head to The Booth.
