The “Cognitive Capitulation” Warning
Psychology Today’s coverage puts it bluntly: our reasoning abilities may be gradually withering inside the warm, frictionless embrace of AI. And the most alarming part? It feels like progress.
Researchers point to the well-known two-system model of the mind — System 1 (fast, instinctive) and System 2 (slow, deliberate).
